This module combines a wooden shelf with a hidden secret compartment and a functional coat rack – designed as a complete puzzle system for escape rooms. Players experience an everyday scene that only unfolds through logical deduction: If they find the key ring in the room and hang it on the correct hook, the secret compartment in the shelf opens automatically after a few seconds.
The set consists of a hook rail and a matching wall shelf that can be integrated into the scene as a wardrobe. Above each of the three hooks is a symbol: a hunting horn, a set of keys, and a hunter's hat.
During the game, players must find the real, heavy key ring (included) and match it to the correct symbol. If the key is hung on the correct hook for at least five seconds, the secret compartment in the shelf will open automatically.
The controller continuously monitors the status of the hook strip. If the key is removed too soon, the process is aborted and reset. If it is correctly inserted, the shelf flap is triggered and reliably falls open – ideal for a brief moment of shock and maximum immersion.
On request, the symbols can be individually laser engraved – perfect if you want to fully integrate the puzzle into your room theme or use your own story elements.
